Webcam with Audio in my business

Is it legal for me to have a webcam WITH AUDIO at my businesss? It's used so I can monitor my employees when I'm not at the office.

Re: Webcam with Audio in my business

This sounds like a road to liability to invasion of privacy / intrusion into private affairs. Of course, this in large depends on whether the employee are aware of the monitoring and the location of those devices. If they only monitor areas where business related activities take place (cash register, isles, etc...) and the employees are aware of the monitoring, it's fine. If the monitoring is secret / undercover, it should be removes as soon as possible.

Thanks, and feel free to follow up.

I believe that you can have video surveillance but no audio.
