contempt

what are the laws in which a judge can hold a person in contempt? can he hold you in contempt without warning?

You might post this for a criminal attorney. There is something called "due process," where the judge should set a hearing so that one could appear (with an attorney), and argue why contempt sanctions should not be imposed.
