Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I filed a complaint against many individuals in a federal court under 42 U.S.C. 1983. (1) Am I obligated to serve a copy of my opposition to motion to dismiss filed by one individual, to all other individuals?

(2) As far as I know discovery pleadings are not required to be filed unless I submit them as evidence. If I am wrong, please correct me. Thanks.

You must serve on all who have appeared. Check the online filing rules to see how this may be done. Discovery answers or the questions are not filed. You will want to study the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and other requirements so you have a general knowledge and you know where to research as issues arise as you represent yourself.

Mr. Selik is correct. A copy of your opposition must be served on all parties.

While you do not need to file discovery demands and responses with the court, you must serve a copy on all other parties.
