Re: stolen credit card

The first thing to do is call your credit card company to report the fraud. You will probably also have to report it in writing, but if you act quickly enough (it may already be too late, depending upon how long ago you learned of this fraud) your liability for the bogus charges will be limited.

You could try to sue the store and the employee, but the store could probably get out of the case and the employee probably couldn't pay the judgment. Besides, if the credit card company doesn't hold you responsible for the charges you may have no loss at all, or at least a loss so minor that legal action would not be worth the effort.

Re: stolen credit card

you can sue the employee for fraud, conversion, misappropriation, intentional misrepresentation, and/or a number of other torts which will give you compensatory damages as well as punitive damages. if you need further asistance, email the specifics of your case.
