Legal Question in Technology Law in California

Website for sharing online poker notes.

I've created a website where people can create notes on opponents. If I sell subscriptions to allow users to view other notes, could I potentially be sued by professional poker players that have notes about them, especially since it can affect their income if notes are used against the pro player?

The first amendment protects this kind of thing, but beware that your 'notes' don't amount to defamation (libel), and don't reveal truly private information about the person.
