Money Judgment: when a Money Judgment is filed 8 years ago in one county (Santa Clara County) ,... why would a collection agency say they filed the writ of execution for that money Judgment in another county (Alameda County) . When the person the Judgment is on, never lived there in the other county.? And is still in the county of (Santa Clara County).

The judgment would still be in Santa Clara County. However, the judgment creditor might have located assets in Alameda County, such as a bank account, some real property, or even a horse. The only way to have the sheriff act is to obtain a writ of execution for the county in which it's believed an asset is located.
