Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Here is a brief summary of my situation do I have a case? My mother is disabled and we decided to pursue a service dog for emotional support. We found a provider who said they had much exp. with service dogs. We agreed to 6,000 for the dog who was to be trained for my mother. We were told that we can not pick the dog but were able to give some preferences. One of which was that we didn't want a large dog, for my parents do not have the space. The dog was to be provided to us in May where the one on one training would take place with my mother. The first dog was not obedient so she was given to another home, 2nd dog also not obedient not sure what happened to him. 3rd dog was our last choice? but he was huge and we couldn't have that size dog. We were told that she will not be doing service dogs any longer and the last dog was our only choice. This process became overwhelming for my mom and defeated the original purpose. We told her we would no longer like a dog from her it was causing to much stress to keep what she felt was fair for the 3 sessions she had with us and please refund the rest. She said that she spent too much money training the dogs that we will not be getting any refund. Even though she didn't train a dog for my mom or listen to what the dog needed to be. We have no dog to show for it and paid over 4,000 for dogs who are in someone elses home. My family had friends and relatives help fund this dog in which we need a dog or a refund to pay them back.

Given the amounts involved, you are going to have to handle this through small claims court.
