Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I bought a vehicle 6 years ago from WFS Financial. I then moved and fell behind on the payments. I notified them and told them I would be willing to do a voluntary repo on the vehicle. I just needed them to come get the car because I had no way to get it to them. They have refused. They will not get it. They have basically abandoned it. I have tried to call and resume payments, I have gotten no calls to help me. Customer service is no help. They are not even in the country! I want to settle this now so that I can get my registration for the car. It has been three years and I have been trying to contact someone for this entire time to try to settle this so I can use my vehicle. How do I get the vehicle to be registered if I cannot pay for it??

Usually the DMV in CA sends the registration to you even if the finance company is a leinholder. You obviously can't register it if you can't afford to.

Next it is unlikely that if you miss payments they will not want to get car unless it is a wreck.

Finance companies always want money and I cannot fathom that they would not be willing to make you a deal or take the car back.

By the way who cares if they use an offshore call center to boost their corporate profits at the expense of working class America? Those call centers can be just as rude as an American one but usually are not.
