Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Car Stolen

My car was stolen and when I went to check my credit report, I found that I had been charged $1900 from a towing company that had towed the car although I had reported the car stolen and never received any notification from the towing company that the car was there or had been recovered. What are my legal alternatives? Do I have to pay this money?

Re: Car Stolen

Probably not, but it depends. Who owns the car now? Did you have insurance? Did they pay for it? If you can provide more details, you will receive a more accurate answer.
