Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

How do I contest a bank levy? Levy was the result of identity theft. An apartment was rented using my stolen identity with a clearly fraudulent rental application and lease agreement. Today I discovered that a collections lawyer got a judgement in LA Superior court using the fraudulent lease agreement. The rental application and agreement contained multiple obvious errors that should have caused it to be denied, yet it was accepted (last December) and recently a lawyer won a judgement based on it and froze my bank account, all without my knowledge.

You need to contact an attorney immediately and get a "third party claim" filed. That is the process by which anyone whose assets have been attached for a judgment that is not theirs to pay contests the levy. The time limits for filing the claim, however, are VERY short. So you need to act IMMEDIATELY. No time for internet. Talk to a lawyer in person right away.
