Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

How do I enforce promissory note (private persons). I have signed promissory notes and I cant locate this person.

I am in nother contry and I dont know your legal system. what should I do and who to contact.

This person should be from California. How will I find this person and find out does he even have any assets.

He may have scammed me but ....I need to know how to act with this note .

You will first need to locate this person, then sue him in the appropriate court. Our courts are divided up by county, so you would more than likely sue him in the county where he is located.

You can hire a private investigator to help you find the person who signed the notes. You may even get lucky and find him through a search on the Internet.

To sue, you will almost certainly need to hire an attorney. It will be incredibly difficult to do this yourself from outside the country.
