judgement

I have recieved notice of a judgement against me. my question is can they freeze my bank account and how long befor this takes place? the box marked: Levy on all accounts standing in the name of.......me, with ssn.....what should I do?

From he description that you have provided, it soounds like they may have already attempted to levy on your bank account.

Bank accounty levies happened at the discretion of the judgment creditor. They obtain a writ of execution from the court and pay the local sheriff to got to the bank. The account is immediately frozen to the extent that you have money in the account that can pay the amount stated on the writ.

If you haven't made arrangements to pay the debt, there sitll might be time to file a claim of exemption to get some of the money back. Feel free to call me if you need further assistance.
