Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

i signed a payment stipulation arrangement for credit card debt through an attorney. I could not afford legal advice and at the time was sickly stressed. i attempted to make payments but fell behind. They refused to accept smaller amounts of payment because it was not what we agreed too. so being that i could not afford to continue paying a large sum, I stopped. Again they did not want a small payment on this debt. They filed for judgement and their judgemen was denied. why might this happen? does this make matters worse for me? I'm really worried. PLease help.

There are several reasons a judgment could be denied -- among them not filing the right paperwork. There's time, then, to file an answer.

You can still try to enter into an agreement to pay but for lesser monthly payment amounts. You might also have other options, including bankruptcy.
