Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

statute of limitations

since each state has a different statute of limitations on collecting on an unpaid account-can we use the sol in California where the company is located(4 years)or do we have to use Oregon(7years)or do we need to use the state where the contract was signed? Can we think of it as any other stipulation which usually states''...or whichever comes first''???

Re: statute of limitations

Chances are your bank or other lending institution has a designated jurisdiction for the laws under which the transaction is governed. Read the agreement you signed, carefully.
