Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Unpaid Invoice from Customer ...

I own a small business, and I've sent two notices for the late payment for the outstanding balance on the customer's account. The balance is $845. What is the best way for me to get the money back? This is making my business look really bad for the potential investors. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Unpaid Invoice from Customer ...

You really have a couple of options. First, you can retain a collection agency, or a collection attorney to recover the debt. That will cost you a percentage of the amount due, and given that its only $845, a collection agency is probably the only realistic option. Second, you can sue the customer in small claims court. That option will only cost you time and the filing fee.
