wage garnishments

i took out a loan with one of those pay day loan places u see on tv for 2600 and had my hours cut so i asked them if they could reduce the amount due per month they refused so they did not recive a payment from me in about 3months but now there saying they will reduce the payment but if i don't pay by a certain date they will garnish my wages and take my taxes can they do this???

A creditor has a right to collect on a legally valid debt owed, and wage assignments are viable remedies unfortunately. However, typically a court judgment is needed in order to do such. If you need further assistance in fighting this creditor, email us with your request.
