Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Hi attorney Good day to your. I have a question regarding of being suspected shoplifter last year November 2013 I went to 7 Eleven store to buy a cup of coffee and something to eat for my breakfast when I'm inside I don't see any cashier and they don't have also a coffee they only have hot cocoa at that time then I went out side of the store then I came back inside and decided to just get the hot cocoa instead of coffee then suddenly there's a guy who show up in the store and then the cashier show up also from the back of the store I think she's in there storage at that time doing something the guy who show up to the store looks like a security or loss prevention I'm not sure because he's on civilian dress he's wearing a hoodies sweater and he keeps following me inside while checking some of the goods, then I staring at him for doing that to me following me, because according to crime prevention of police if someone keeps following you try to avoid them that's what I did I avoid him walking around then the guy approach me and ask me Who are you? why you keeps looking at me? and I was nervous at that time because he looks like taught guy he seems like a gangster too I said to him that I was just waiting to the coffee to be filled up then he said to me " are you trying fuck with her " he seems like he's talking about the cashier and the way he talked it looks like he's suspected me as shoplifter and I said back no I even say sorry to him, but it doesn't mean I'm stealing then he's talking to the cashier in Spanish I don't understand what they saying together seems like they were talking about me, then I went to the cashier to pay the hot cocoa and the tiny donut I use my debit card at that time . then I left, but the guy standing by my side when I'm paying the merchandise then I left but I'm not sure If they call a police on me because they don't even ask any information like my ID,SSN etc they just suspected me. my question is could they even send me a recovery letter for fine by being suspected shoplifter? they did not even ask any my information about me like ID and SSN for my information but I used my debit card to pay the merchandise could they trace my information on my bank account? By the way I live here in State of California as International student. I do not intended to steal at that time I'm just a normal guy I can pay any goods to buy something to eat my parents sending me money from abroad for my living but those employee in 7 Eleven probably just suspected me as shoplifter because I was walking around inside the store to long and I was wearing a sweater at that time and also there's so many cctv inside. My other question is could they even call to a police or report me with no evidence that I steal something they just suspected me? I'm afraid that they might send me a recovery letter and sue by mistake I'm scared also that the police will show up on my apartment.. I paid the merchandise and I did not steal anything Its been almost one year now and I thanked God they don't send anything on my mail like recovery letter until now..is it possible that they might send me one I don't do anything wrong I'm just suspected. Sorry for wasting your time attorney I'm still scared right now even if its been almost one year I'm also scared that it might affect my being International student. Please answer my question so i can get over it..thank you and God Bless you

It is highly unlikely that you get a recovery letter a year after the event.
