Hire an attorney to clear the warrant, or you could try walking in on it yourself if it hasn't been too long since the missed appearance and you have a good reason for missing it. When you miss a court date on a criminal case, a bench warrant (arrest warrant) is issued.

You do not necessarily want to walk in on a warrant unless the facts above are present. Most courts have you get there early, e.g., 7 a.m., to add your case on to the calendar for that day. The case will be sent into court and you will be able to explain why you were not there on the correct day. Good luck!

I agree with Ms. Hofmeister, but suggest you have an attorney. If you are being prosecuted for a felony or a misdemeanor, and you cannot afford an attorney, you can ask the court to appoint the public defender to represent you.
