Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I did a hit and run and now my license is revoked. DMV told me there's no way of getting a temporary license. My job requires me to drive and I am a single parent and I need to be able to take my kids back and forth to school. Do I have any options?

Whether you can get your license back has nothing to do with how losing it will affect you. People who desperately need a license are subject to the same laws and procedures as everyone else.

Drivers can challenge a decision by the DMV to revoke or suspend their license, but they must act quickly. I can't tell if you still have time. If your license was revoked by a judge, then your only options are to appeal the judgment or to challenge it in some type of post-trial motion. Those proceedings also have strict time limits.

Naturally, meeting the deadlines doesn't mean you will get your license back; it just means you'll have a chance to make your case.
