Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

How do I go about pressing charges against someone who knew they where hiv positive and didn't tell me before having sex. (Hetrosexual) The only reason I found out is that I seen a medical discharge folder and inside was her results of a blood test which consist of hep c, pcr, acute hiv 1&2, and cellulitis of the left leg. This was a week ago I haven't went to get tested yet trying to get balls to go. Thanks for your help.

You don't 'press charges' which normally means file criminal complaint. Instead, you may want to file a civil lawsuit for damages, if the person has any income or assets to make it financially realistic to do so. Even if he doesn't, your attorney may be able to negotiate some reasonable settlement of that claim Of course, you must get tester to see IF you are infected, thus damaged medically and emotionally. Good luck.
