Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Your question: "This was typed on www.hallway.com and is completely untrue. I have requested it to be removed, but was never removed. Simply put, the student was very angry.

The website states that commentary needs to be appropriate and the website is not responsible for innappropriate comments.

Any suggestions on how to get this comment removed and is it possible to sue these websites?

generally you have to prove slander/libel and sometimes get a court order to get some comments removed ... I assume this remark was directed clearly at you? Technically it's a question not a comment ... so proving untrue and getting a court order to remove it may be difficult. That would be a civil issue not a criminal issue.

First I would contact the corporate offices and find out the company's policy and requirements to get comments removed which were made directly about you on that website ... what is their definition of "appropriate" and how to go about getting comments removed. Good luck!
