Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I received a call from a Public Storage manager informing that they came across my unit with the lock off. The manager called me back several minutes later stating to disregard the message it was for a different unit. I went out to inspect the unit that night and much of my property had been taken and damaged. The insurance company denied the claim in 4 hours after the claim was submitted because the lock was still on the door. The door visibly shows damaged to the door and the drywall inside of the unit has been tapered with. This type of burglary/theft has happened to several tenants dealing with PS. What options do I have?

You need to file a report with the police agency that has jurisdiction of the unit. If this does not lead to successful resolution you can sue PS for the damages, but with no direct proof of who caused damage results are not guaranteed.
