Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

While on vacation, a criminal case was filed against me. I came back to the state where the case was filed. What are my actions?

Get a criminal defense attorney immediately and do not speak about your case to anyone else, including on the internet.

There is so much I don't know about this case. As a Former Deputy District Attorney and a Certified Criminal Law Specialist, I would not be helping you, by giving you a flippant and baseless answer. I would need you to call my office and we would go over the charges, what you say to the charges, your prior record, and other issues. After we go over all that, I can tell you how to proceed. Do not speak to law enforcement and call me or another lawyer you feel has the experience you need to address this case. I hope that helps......David Wallin

If you don't know how to represent yourself effectively against an experienced prosecutor intending to convict, then hire an attorney who does, who will defend you, try to get a dismissal, charge reduction, diversion, programs, or other decent outcome through motions, plea bargain, or take it to trial if appropriate. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible, using whatever defenses and sympathies there may be. Ive been doing these cases for many years.
