Re: Court appearance..

Possibly, it doesn't hurt to ask, but unless you know how to properly represent yourself and conduct Pre-Trial hearings and Jury Trials, you should be represented by an attorney. Feel free to contact me if interested.

It depends upon the judge and the District Attorney. You certainly can ask for a continuance. You will do better with a lawyer beside you that knows how to demonstrate good cause to continue your case. Feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss this further.

Get a lawyer. An experienced counsel will know the judge, the DA and whether or not a continuance is even necesssary. Good luck.

Re: Court appearance..

Your chance at requesting and having granted a continuance is minimal. If you have a new attorney on the case, the judge would likely allow a continuance so that the attorney could come up to speed on the case.
