Legal Question in Education Law in California

Asked, and denied permission to sit in my sons class.

Hi,

I asked the principal if I could sit in my sons class

last friday Oct. 5, because his teacher said he was

hyperactive,to make my own assesment. The principal

said yes but would have to accompany me.

I also asked his teacher if I could sit in on an after school program called EASE, she said no.

I went in the office to see the principal about atten-

ding class today, Oct. 8, I was told the principal needed to

be at an assembly, but could see me afterward.

I attended the assembly, and returned to the office

after it was over. I was told the principal could not

be found, by his secretary. I left my name and number.

What are my rights?

Thank-you Sincerely Need to Know

It could very well be that the principal had a serious issue with the school occur, which took presedence over your situation. Keep calling, and if you don't get return phone calls, call the superintendant of the school district.
