Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex and I have 2 weeks per summer if we chose to take with the kids, I provided written notice to my ex yesterday and on the 13th that I like to have the kids for 2 weeks in the summertime he denied it stating he has plans with the kids, can he do this?

The outcome of this dispute is controlled by your court order. If your court order is vague and does not specify how to address this problem, you should return to court on an emergency motion for court assistance. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.

Ms. Kock is exactly right. If the existing order decides the issue, then it controls. If it is vague, the two of you either have to work it out or you have to go back to court for a ruling on this issue.
