Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex is convicted for DV against me. Were in a custody battle. He is waging a war upon me with his attorneys, who his parents lavishly pay ( his parents are very rich and cosponsored me to come to USA). I have no recourse cause I have no money. He is deposing me, noticing to produce docs, you name it. I came to the USA for him. Its a post judgment custody modification. I need attorneys fees, but people say it wont a motion for atty fees wont work cause on paper he acts like he makes no money at all, even though he quickly transferred his $1m condo over to his parents. It seems beyond an injustice and unequal and unfair he can continue to abuse me and our child and I am supposed to take the punches and not be represented?! As a foreigner.

Discovery in a family law case is a normal procedure however, if it's overworked, you can get protective orders from the court. I would suggest scheduling case management with the judge to control what's happening by opposing counsel and their client. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.
