Legal Question in Family Law in California

My daughter in law is in jail. She will be allowing me to apply for temporary guardianship of my grand daughter which lives in Wyoming. Do I need to file temporary guardianship in California and Wyoming, just California, or just Wyoming?

If she is in Wyoming you need to file in Wyoming.
