divorce

I have two friends who tell me they have a divorce but no finanacal settelment how does this happen, divorce or not?

The court can bifurcate the proceedings, meaning that the judge can give a judgment for divorce, but reserve on the financial issues. Your friends need to either get a settlement agreement signed and submitted for judgment, or request a trial on the financial issues.

Always consult with an attorney. Keep in mind that this advice does not take into consideration everything going on in the case because I do not have all of the information.
