Legal Question in Family Law in California

In my divorce settlement, I agreed to have my husband pay my alimony to me directly. I'd like to have the court receive it instead because he is consistently late and it causes bad feelings between us

Can't be done. The state doesn't have the resources to process everyones payments. They do it for child support because the state has a vested interest in getting kids the money they are owed. But spousal support is between you and him. If he is so consistenly late, file an OSC re: contempt.
