Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have a divorce settlement from Mariposa CA whereby my ex was given until 12/31/2016 to pay me $35000 with interest of 3% per annum accruing from Nov 2009. We are both legal owners of a property in Mariposa, which will be Quit Claimed to him upon payment of this settlement. What can I do to make him either pay me, or continue to compound interest until he does pay up? I now live in Oregon and cannot pursue this locally.

Your best option would be to retain the services of an experienced family law attorney to represent you and to go in on a request for order on enforcement of this judgment. Your options would be to ask that the court order a listing and sale of the property if your ex does not have the financial resources to satisfy this court order.
