Grandparent given gardianship in OK 4 days after my Prison release

@18 my girlfriend became pregnant. In her 5th mo I was sent to juv. hall(90 days)a wk later she went to her mothers in OK.We had a son. When he was 7mo old I recieved papers that my son was award of the court& his mother gave up her parental rights.I rented a car& made it to court.Grandma had an attorney& I had to represent myself;sons mother was not present. The court wanted to know how I would be part of my sons life.I explained I would maintain emp.,keep contact by phone & visits&pay support. The court odered my 1st supervised meeting w/my son,& odered further visits sch. through grandma. It would be my only visit.I had no choice but to give grandma temp. gardianship since court would not grant me full custody&I live in CA.I paid support for approx.7mo when grandma would not comply w/courts order.2 yrs later I went to prison.4 days after my release, OK court ordered me present or my parental rights term..It was impossible for me to appear.24,out of prison for the 5th X,I disclosed from 9-17 I was drugged&rapped repeatedly by my mentor.I help to get him to conf& be conv. to 32yrs.In therapy& on track.Id like to be part of my sons life. Were my rights taken unfairly?doesnt my son have the right to his father? ? can I do ?

You should send your contact info to OK in case your son tries to get in touch. The grandmother and mother should also be given your contact info because the adopted child often tries to find the mother first. Who's to say whether what happened was fair? The question is whether there is anything to be gained by reestablishing contact. If you have gone on to raise some decent kids that are half sibs you may want to put them together with this lost brother.
