My ex husband abducted my children to Louisianna! What do I do?

My ex husband has broke many court orders, dumbied his pay stubs, and now decided Im done playing an active role in their lives. He lied and stated That I only take my children 2days at best a month, when I infact take them every weekend and go to there place of residece during the week days to participate in school and extra curricular activities. He broke a court order that says niether parents are to remove the chidren w/out 45 day written notice of approval from the other parent or the court. He filed papers with the court such as a Declaration Under Uniform Child Custody Jurist..A motion asking to move to Louissian, and put in a request for mediation all dated 07/26/2006. But insted of waiting for court,he fled to LA. I was never served, he stated he had no idea where I was, & believed my yo be homeless, but stayed in constant contact w/ me the first 3wks of summer while our children were w/ me. I need to know what my opptions are and what papers to file. He got custody of our youngest on default, ''i was 5min late for court. My children are my everything how do I bring them home. And I want custody of them reverted back to me.Its what my children want to! oh and he also has an attorney now. We were pro per,& I cant afford one

contact the local family court division and ask about the family law clinic. You should be able to get the assistance you need there. They will also be able to review the current court orders etc. The longer you wait to take action the more difficult it will be to get a court order requiring him to return to California.
