Legal Question in Family Law in California

my husband and i are filing for divorce after 14yrs of marriage. We have a 14yrs old child and a house. we are trying to get a divorce agrement done so we don't have to pay attorney's fees. I just need to know what legality our divorce agreement has if we notarized it? can either one of us change it at a later time?
