Legal Question in Family Law in California

My husband and I are selling our house and separating after the house sells. We have two kids and they will be moving with me. Our house sells on the 10th and my moving day is the 11th. Can that be used against me since I got a place without him and am taking the kids. Like it looks planned or something?

Husband and wife separating are most often planned. So long as you do not hide the children from him it should not make a difference.

I don't see any problems here. You are not taking the children somewhere that the husband is unaware of.

It's self-evident that you're moving from the home and have to relocate. The most secure way of doing this is to have orders from the court confirming the parenting plan or at least what you were doing in writing between you and signed off by both of you as an interim step before getting court orders.
