Legal Question in Family Law in California

I left California with my 4 year old son for fear of our lives and lack of means to Texas with my mother. The likely father " who is not on birth cert has filled a petition in California for custody. What are my options as I plan to stay in Texas

You need to ask this question in a forum where Texas attorneys might give you an answer, as there would appear to be a question regarding whether California has jurisdiction to make a determination about custody of your child.
