Legal Question in Family Law in California

I left my wife and kids but continue to support them and visit my kids. I talk to them everyday. Is this consider abandment?

Abandonment as a legal element in divorce is nonexistent in California. All you need to determine as a justification to end a marriage is confirming from your standpoint there are irreconcilable differences.

With that being said, maintaining continuous contact with your children is not only best for their psychological well-being but also helps you establish a parenting time share when you start your divorce process.
