Am I legaly responsible for my roomates 17 year old unrelated child's behavior (drinking, running up and down the rooftop etc)

Under California law, you are not responsible for your roommate's child's bad behavior who is 17 years of age. Your roommate is responsible for the child, not you.

I would add that if you are on the lease, you may still be accountable for damage to the unit as a tenant, even if it's your roommate's responsibility to contain his/her child.
