Legal Question in Family Law in California

I married in San Salvador, El Salvador in 1999. Moved to the states a year later with the wife. Petition for divorce was filed in CA in 2009 and was settled in 2011. The ex insists that we are still married in El Salvador. And that we'll need to divorce there as well. Is there any truth to what she says. Or is my divorce in the states valid in El Salvador as well?
