Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hello. I am soon getting married in the state of CA. I bought (still paying mortgage) 2 homes on my own, 4 years ago and 1.5 years ago, and am the only person on the deeds, and the only one making payments. I would like those homes to remain my separate property just in case something happens in the future. Do I still need a prenup, or am I ok since they were bought before marriage? Thanks

You need a premarital agreement and you need to know what actions will cause your future wife to have a claim on these properties. You need to meet with a family law attorney, before you are married.

If community earnings or work and effort go into these properties a community property interest may result. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.
