Can I respond to a Petition for Legal Separation with a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage? I live in Corona, CA.

All you need to do is file a response in which you requests a dissolution of the marriage. There is no need to file a petition for dissolution of marriage. Should you file such a petition for a dissolution of marriage it will be dismissed, as a duplicate case. Consult with an attorney or the local family law clinic to get more information.
