Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hello, I need to seek a divorce from my wife of 3 yrs in California. my wife is threatening to take my half of the home. I want to move out while the proceedings are going on but not sure if this a wise thing to do since I'm not able to financially rent a place and pay for a mortgage at the same time. She suffers from servier depression and at times things just get unbearable to deal with. We just refinanced a couple of months ago so now the loan and title is in both our names. Thank for any help with this , no children together. Chris

As long as you both can peacefully coexist in the house, the court would not exclude one of you from continuing to live there. At some point the house would have to be divided in accordance with California law. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.
