Legal Question in Family Law in California

Statute of Limitations (SoL)

I was ordered to pay my ex-wife a lump sum buyout for one of my retirement funds. I did so as instructed in January 2005. I am now (for the first time) being asked by her atty to provide documentation of that payment. Is there a SoL that could disallow their request?

Re: Statute of Limitations (SoL)

The easiest and most economical way to deal with this is to provide proof of the payment. In my experience courts do not look kindly upon individuals who refuse to provide proof of payment when it is requested.
