Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I was involved in an auto accident.the tow truck driver was insistent upon giving methe.name of an Attorney that had represented him. I told him that I was not worried about that at the moment all I wanted to do was get medical attention. I went to the ER and was given pain medication. The next day an investigator showed up at my daughters door. He was insistant and rather intimidating. He took there information I had gotten from the other driver and said he would be eighth back, that he was going to make cooies and chck out the accident site. He kept the information for 2 weeks. When I finally caught up with him, he called me by my maidden name. My attempts tp get the papers he to, along with the ones he had me sign as fruitless. I then called the Attorney he worked for and he had no file or knowledge of me or the accident. I told him that I waned everything the investigator took and everything he had me sign. The insurance and other drivers info was returned but not the a papers with my personal info and signature was not. Later I found out that this person contacted another attorney and gave my

info to her to sue me on behalf of the passenger that was riding with me. Any time I've ask him to return my personal info and papers containing my signatire I was humg up on and he won't return my calls. I am already going through identity theft. What can I do? I am in constant pain and haven't a.clue as to what legal action can ne taken.

You should not be fighting this battle alone. You need a good attorney who specializes in personal injury law to straighten this out and handle your claim for injuries; you also need to inform your own automobile insurance carrier if you have not already done so, to defend you in any claims that may be filed against you.
