Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

libel & slander

I'm embroiled in a 'feedback' battle with a customer on ebay. If I post comments on the public feedback forum implying that the guy is an egomaniac, (a) Real nut case, (is) a real psycho, (a) mental patient and a whacko, could the guy bring charges and would I lose in CA? thanks Perry

Re: libel & slander

Unless you are a licensed psychotherapist, you have no basis for a determination that your adversary is an egomaniac, nut case, mental patient, or whacko. Stick to the facts. And even if you stick to objective facts, you could still, at least theoretically, be sued and have to pay a lawyer for a legal defense.
