Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Parking permits and being towed

I got towed for not dispaying a parking permit at my complex. The one and only sign in the complex states that you must have a permit (not that it has to be displayed), and I do have a permit (vehicle was registered with apartment mgmt when I got the permit). Is this a technicality where I could take the apartment management to small claims court?

Re: Parking permits and being towed

If you have the time and the money, you might try it. It's likely you'd lose if it's a larger building, since a reasonable person probably wouldn't expect the security company to know every car and YOUR PERMIT WASN'T DISPLAYED!
