Legal Question in Health Care Law in California

Father fell in hospital and broke hip

After falling at home, my 71 year old father fell while getting up at the hospital and broke hip and had to undergo hip replacement. He was under the doctors care and given narcotic medication that impaired his reasoning to not get up out of bed to use the restroom alone. Is this something that is the hospital's liability?

Perhaps. The hospital records need to be reviewed by an expert to determine if any negligence (i.e. failure to use reasonable care) was a contributory cause to the fall.

If you want the case evaluated feel free to contact me for further information.

It seems like he might have a case. However, records must be reviewed. I'll be happy to look at them at no cost.
