void signatures

In a hospital, if someone is not in their right state of mind (i.e. under the influence of drugs, going through withdrawl) and they are pressured into signing a legal document, is their signature legal?

Probably not. One must be mentally competent to sign a legal document. However, each situation turns on its own facts, and a careful evaluation by an experienced attorney is required before one can conclude with any certainty that the document is void.
