Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

i am a us citizen and my husband a permanent resident for 5 years know, and would like to petition for my mother in law can we??? can i do it, or can i help in any way for this ???

Only your spouse can petition his mother, but he needs to naturalize first.

Best way to handle this is for your husband to naturalize (become a citizen) and then petition for his mother. If done correctly and there are no issues causing delay, your mother-in-law should be here by end of 2016 or early 2017. It generally takes 4-5 months to complete the naturalization process and about 9-12 months to complete the consular processing and entry of a parent of a citizen.
