Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Citizenship

My husband, Son & I applied for citizenship in 2006. Both of them got their citizenship in the next 3months. But I went only upto finger printing & am still waiting for interview call. When I call up the Customer service the same standard letter saying that back ground check is not complete yet comes.

Meanwhile when I was returning to US from India, It was brought to my notice that my Greencard had a different DOB than my passport. The year is different. Can this be the reason for me not getting my citizenship? How can I get it changed on the Greencard & submit it to USCIS?Can Hiring a lawyer help? How much will it cost? Please help.My brother petitioned me, I think he entered the year wrong on the form. The documents that I submitted in the Embassy has the DOB of my passport.
